Yesterday was the first day of summer, and our second CSA farm pickup.  Between the hail we received on Sunday, the cold wet spring we are a little bit behind where we would like to be with planting and what is ready to be harvested.

We have a frost warning for tonight, so the day is being spent getting row covers out and preparing for the frost we may get, but hope we don’t.

There seems to always be a challenge for us to overcome.  It keeps things interesting for us.

Hopefully summer will arrive tomorrow after the frost warning and stays with us for a couple of months.

We are looking forward to having lots of delicious and nutritious produce available, at this time it is more of a waiting game than anything.

Edible podding peas are coming.  They were about 1” long on Sunday.
